Youth Ministry
St. John's Youth Ministry is for students in 7th grade through 12th grade. Some of our programs include Confirmation Ministry, High School Sunday School and retreats. We also offer students the opportunity to participate in summer mission trips and a week of camping in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW).
Youth Education
Confirmation Program
A three year program (typically 7th through 9th grade) which prepares youth for Confirmation. Students in Years 1 and 2 of the program attend confirmation classes the first two Wednesday evenings every month. On the third Wednesday evening of each month the students participate in either service or fellowship activities. During these two years they study the Bible and Luther's Small Catechism. Year 3 students are teamed up with faith mentors, and spend a year exploring religions of the world and doing community service. Sunday School classes are required for youth in the Confirmation program.
High School
There's a new format for the high school class! All students are invited to participate in Sunday morning group. It's about issues and fun and faith. High school session is @ 10:15 Sunday mornings.
