   Our Walking With Christ mission aims to focus everyone in the St. John's family to be purposeful and motivated to serve God through our many ministries. To accomplish anything, requires our commitment, first of time and then of financial support. We hope that all of us will join together to walk with Christ!

 

February 2010 Update

 

1. Have you found a place to serve? Our Spotlight Ministries are great and relatively easy way to try something out. Just ask all the folks who are already involved in some way. Whether you are handy, creative, an organizer, interested in helping kids ...there is something for everyone. And, if the Spotlight Ministries aren't calling your name, we have so many other ways to serve! Why not extend your hand to one of them? Stop by the Information Desk today and get connected.

 

2. Building the Hope Center (CCWC) Garage.
The old garage has been taken down and the foundation is installed and ready for us to construct the new, much needed storage facility for the Hope Center. The goal is to get going as soon as the weather gets nice. Therefore the plan is to start immediately after Easter/Spring break, most likely the weekend of April 17th. 3. This year's visioning/brainstorming session to continue or identify new Spotlight Ministries is set for Sunday, May 2nd @ 10:15am. Jim Stollberg will be facilitating this discussion. Everyone is encouraged to attend! Hear more about this at the March update.

 

4. January 2010 Offering:   $4,844

    Our Spotlight Ministry Teams are responsible for presenting funding requests to Council. And, Council reviews all funding requests from the Spotlight Ministries and leaders monthly, but might also make quarterly allocations based on projected needs.
