Our Purpose

To come together as a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Together, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.

Our Mission

To mobilize women to boldly act on their faith in Jesus Christ

To affirm the uniqueness, individuality, creativity, and diversity of all women through the Women’s Ministries at St. John’s.

To encourage growth in Bible Study, fellowship, worship, support, and service for women of all ages at St. John’s.

To promote outreach opportunities for the women of St. John’s.

Women’s Circles Study

3 circles

Lutheran Women Today is the national magazine published by Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America in partnership with Augsburg Fortress.  It is a collection of articles written to promote growth in our faith and mission.  The theme for each issue centers on the Bible study, which is included.  This bible study is the basis for the three circles (morning, afternoon and evening) to study each month. We have Circles that meet in the morning, afternoon, and evening.

Bible/Book Studies

In addition to our Circles, there are various Bible Study/Book Study Groups that meet throughout the year:

Tuesday Morning Bible Study

Moms' Bible Study

Women of Faith Bible Study

Book Club

U.S. Service Members Support Group

For more information or to join one of these groups, please contact our church office at (262)786-6887

The Holiday Bazaar is an annual event, sponsored by St. John’s Women’s Ministries.  Opportunities abound for all members to participate as leaders or helpers in areas such as Crafts (made individually or as part of a group), Taste Table, Bake Sale, Cookie Walk, Raffle and Apple Pies.  The Bazaar offers many fun opportunities for fellowship and meeting new people.  It reaches out to the community and brings new faces into our church.  The majority of the proceeds from the Bazaar go to outreach ministries with the remainder going to various ministries within our church. Join us as we share God’s love, our faith and our God-given gifts and talents.
The 2008 Bazaar raised over $13,700 which was dispersed to ministries of our church, our community, and the world.
