FAQ

What is the age requirement?
All children enrolling in the Early this class must be 2 ½ (30 months) old by September 1st, 2012

When is the class offered?
Our Early Three’s class runs two mornings per week (Mondays and Wednesdays) from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.   The Early Three’s class will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 – 11:00 during the 2012-2013 school year.

Does my child need to be potty trained?
No, potty training is not required.  We do however ask that your child wear pull-up diapers if he or she is still learning to use the bathroom regularly.

What are the Christian elements of your program?

Bible stories are read to the children during snack time, as well as during circle time dependent on the theme.  Children say a prayer before snack each day as well as the end of class.  We celebrate all holidays with a Christian focus.

What type of curriculum is used?
Our preschool uses a themed, age-appropriate curriculum.  We do recognize that children develop at different rates and our activities allow us to meet the needs and developmental stages of each of our students.  A circle time activity may lend an opportunity to work with one child on color recognition and another child on shape or number recognition.

What is the student/teacher ratio?
The maximum enrollment for our Early Three’s Class is 12 students.  There will be two teachers with the class at all times.

Do I have to commit to the entire school year?

While our class format is based on the nine month school year, we do understand that it can be difficult to make a commitment for that length of time when your child is so young.  You may choose a monthly payment to ensure you and your child are comfortable.

How is snack time handled?
Snack is provided each day by one of the students.  They are assigned a snack day on which they provide a snack and beverage for the class.  This is also your child’s day to be the line leader.
