El Salvador St. John's Lutheran has been a partner in ministry with Los Héroes de la Fe (Heroes of Faith) since 1998 through its participation in the Sister Parish program of the Salvadoran Lutheran Church and the Companion Synod Program of the ELCA. St. John's has an active role in the Greater Milwaukee Synod El Salvador Committee. Our sister church in Milwaukee, All Peoples Church, joined St. John's in partnership with Los Héroes in 2000. Learn more about El Salvador and the ministries we share with the Salvadoran Lutheran Church by visiting this Partnership Web Site.
St. John's is committed to working with our sister church in Los Heroes to empower children and youth through education. Learn more about the Los Heroes Scholarship Program by clicking here. St. John's recently installed stained glass windows to celebrate its 50 years of ministry. This panel, showing Los Heroes, represents MISSION. Mission in our world shows another service opportunity for outreach among those less fortunate than us as Matthew in 28:19 tells us to "go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit."
