Christian Education
Discipleship opportunities are offered for all ages from 9:45-10:45am on Sunday mornings
from September through May. All post-confirmands are invited to attend the Christian Education offerings in the sanctuary and the library during the Discipleship Hour. Large group presentations are held each week in the sanctuary, covering topics including contemporary issues, faith in daily life, Bible studies, service opportunities, St. John’s milestones, global missions, and more!
The Academy at St. John’s
Now in its fifth year, the Academy continues to offer in-depth lectures by visiting scholars. These thought-provoking lectures have covered a variety of subjects. Past lectures have included "Jesus the Jew: A Look at Jesus, His Brother James, and Early Jewish Christianity" and "The Angels of the Presence as the Celestial Twin of the Patriarchs: Jacob, Enoch, and Moses." The Academy is held on Sunday evenings. The lecture begins at 6:30pm, followed by a reception and discussion.
