St. John's Lutheran has been a partner in ministry with Los Heroes de la Fe (Heroes of Faith) since 1998 through its participation in the Sister Parish program of the Lutheran Church of El Salvador. Lutheran churches in Milwaukee have accompanied Lutherans in El Salvador since 1952. All Peoples Church joined St. John's in partnership with Los Heroes in 2000.
